The Death Stranding Solo-RPG is a one player Table Top Role Playing Game based on Death Stranding, the video game created by Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions. Players will control a Porter and explore outside of their starting City in search of Preppers, Distribution Centers, Cities, and the resources to connect them to each other.

With a focus on Cargo management,  keep a close eye on your Health and Energy while navigating the map you create, and contend with MULEs, Demens, and BTs. Keep on keeping on.

The game can be played with pen and paper, but keep in mind that you may need ample room to make notes and track your maps and inventory. For this purpose, an excel/google sheets spreadsheet works well for gameplay/tracking.

This is a fan-made non-profit project and is in no way related or affiliated with Death Stranding or Kojima Productions. All rights of course belong to the proper copyright holders/creators of the respective properties. Enjoy.

Hi! Testing out this one but I'm not sure how much HP does BT have?

(1 edit) (+1)

I forgot to include the BTs HP, didn't I? So sorry. They should have 8, each.

Another rule I forgot to include from my notebook:

Upon death, your body necrotizes in 1d6/2 days, rounded down (so rolling a 5 would mean it necrotizes in 2 days).

You have until then to "deliver" it to a City for disposal.

I'll add those in and update the rulebook asap!

Hi! Thank's for the reply! So I'm in a bit of a trouble as I encountered 6 BTs! Glad I got that blood gun thing.

So the body necrotizing rule changed from previous coin flip - got it!

I started first game in a city, then on the next hex encountered D.C. and got Order from there but I realized, having only 2 locations to deliver between, being next to each other i could cheeze this into safely traveling between the two. Perhaps that could be avoided. For example: Likes earned are multiplyied by the distance between the locations. Orders can be acquired once per time unit (so refresh after death/rest). Proper orders can be unlocked only after revealing 6 locations other than starting City, before that perhaps Minor Deliveries (1 like worth of delivery multiplied by distance), and after 6 discovered, high value Orders (not sure how that ties to a gameplay loop of revealing certain amount of DC and Cities etc. just a quick thoughts).

Would you mind if I hack this a bit and create my own maps/tables for that?

By all means, feel free! And when I was reading the rulebook last night, I must have missed that I did actually put in the necrotize rule...I suppose I can playtest and see which one is more balanced. Feel like sharing anything you make here via google link? I haven't come back to editing this game in some time, since it was just a random passion project

Yeah sure if I make anything to be honest :D I jump on random projects but don't have much time to work on anything to be honest so I never finished anything through. If I manage to develop something I'll paste the link!

Also a quick question - do I roll for terrain and weather in a starting City when generating and when going back there?

oh, a strand type game

Indeed. although, aside from playing it alongside others, there's not really a method of 'connecting' with other players as such

Thanks for creating this! I had a great time reading through and trying a few deliveries.

No, thank you! It means a lot that someone tried it out :)
